Department of OBGYN

Sarah M. Bennett, MD

  • Graduate Medical Resident
  • Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
  • Hometown:  Carmel, Indiana
  • Favorite things to do in Pittsburgh:  I love to trail run in Frick and Schenley parks! There are trails long enough to go for a long run without having to repeat, and its a great escape into some nature after work. I also love exploring the city via the food scene.
  • Favorite restaurant:  It's a very close tie between Morcilla (Spanish Tapas and amazing wine) and Pusadee's Garden (Thai with amazing garden and cocktails). There are many great places to pick from here!
  • Favorite place for take-out: Mola sushi is a favorite comfort food for takeout on a busy day.
  • Favorite rotation so far:  My favorite rotation has likely been 2A, our resident inpatient and surgical service. It has been an amazing privilege to both teach and learn alongside my fellow residents while watching everyone grow in their own surgical skills throughout such a short period.
  • Post-residency plans: I am aiming for a full scope generalist practice in the greater Boston area after graduation.
  • What’s your favorite thing about Pittsburgh/Magee: The people here are the best thing about Magee. This extends to the residents, attendings, and staff. It is part of the culture to chip in when things are busy and be there for each other, clinically and personally, as we navigate the residency process.
